Teaching for Learning Month is presented by Teaching and Academic Programs (TAP) and offered in partnership with The Office of Science Education (OSE). The theme for May 2026 is Fostering relationship-rich classrooms.

Choose from a variety of facilitated events and self-access activities to suit different schedules and ways of participating.

Increasing Diversity in Mathematical & Related Sciences

Increasing Diversity in Mathematical & Related Sciences (IDMS) 2026 is a 5-day Summer School organized by the Canadian Math Society鈥檚 Women in Math Committee. We plan to bring together a diverse group of undergraduate students from聽Canadian universities who identify as women, or other underrepresented gender-identities.

Distinguished lectures in applied mathematics and statistics

This series of conferences on topics in applied mathematics began in 2024. Each year, the CRM welcomes one or two distinguished speakers. Each edition is devoted to a different theme. The theme for 2025 was numerical analysis. The theme for 2026 will focus on the statistical science of space and time.聽

SSHRC Insight Grants - OSR Outreach Session

The purpose of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight Grant Program is to provide stable support ranging from $7,000 to $400,000 for research excellence and long-term research initiatives of two to five years, for both emerging and established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.

Outreach Session: NSERC Discovery Grants Program

The goal of this information session is to provide tips on successful Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant proposals. This session is open to Applicants from all Evaluation Groups. Questions and answers will be welcome throughout.
