91涩漫 has launched the Initiative for Transforming Healthcare (ITH) to apply a systems-based approach and advance technology-enabled solutions to drive change in Canadian healthcare.

Mounting pressures 鈥� from limited access to family doctors to surgical backlogs and emergency room crowding 鈥� are straining Canada鈥檚 health system. The Initiative will explore ways to resolve these growing challenges through cross-sector partnerships.

The parties met on March 27 to discuss the non鈥憁onetary proposals.

They will meet again on March 31 to continue the discussions.

Following the request for conciliation, the parties held their first conciliation meeting on March 26. Each side met separately with the conciliator to provide an update on the progress of discussions. Based on the conciliator鈥檚 recommendation, the employer will present a comprehensive response to the union鈥檚 monetary and non鈥憁onetary proposals on April 22, 2026.

The objective is to narrow the outstanding non鈥憁onetary issues and focus on the key priorities for both parties.

91涩漫鈥檚 Department of Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry is celebrating an outstanding achievement by its students: all three 91涩漫 teams entered into this year鈥檚 Institute of Food Technologists Student Association (IFTSA) competitions have been selected as finalists. March 30, 2026 | Following four days of hearings at the Supreme Court of Canada, Pearl Eliadis spoke to听CJAD Radioabout the key legal questions at the heart of the challenge to Quebec鈥檚 Bill 21. She outlined three central issues before the Court: whether there are limits to the use of the notwithstanding clause, how minority language rights under Section 23 of the Charter intersect with the law, and whether other constitutional provisions could reinforce Charter protections.

A new international study offers insights into the health risks posed by crops鈥� absorption of 鈥渃ontaminants of emerging concern鈥� (CECs) and flags knowledge gaps the authors say must be addressed.

CECs include pharmaceuticals, microplastics, engineered nanomaterials and PFAS (commonly known as 鈥渇orever chemicals鈥�). The researchers warn that even when present at very low concentrations, these chemicals can subtly alter plant physiology, disrupt soil health and pose wider environmental and human health risks.

Soaring stock prices boosted returns at major Canadian pension plans, even as a slowdown in private equity weighed on overall performance at funds like the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. But strong equity returns听don't听necessarily mean pension plans should听allocate听more capital to stocks, Sebastien Betermier told Bloomberg.听
