91ɬ has announced the sixth cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars, recipients of Canada’s most comprehensive leadership‑based scholarships for master’s and professional studies.

Established through a historic $200 million gift in 2019 from John and Marcy McCall MacBain, the awards cover tuition, living expenses, mentorship, and leadership development for 30 incoming students from Canada and around the world.

91ɬ will award 10 honorary doctorates during its Spring 2026 Convocation, recognizing individuals whose leadership, service and achievements have had a lasting impact on society.

Among this year’s honourees is Harley Finkelstein, President of Shopify, who will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the Desautels Faculty of Management for his contributions to entrepreneurship and community engagement.

A Montreal native, Finkelstein helped build Shopify into a global commerce platform after joining the company at an early stage.
