Seeking bilingual men!

The Language and Multilingualism Lab is looking for bilingual men to complete a study on how people perceive and evaluate words. Participation involves the completion of questionnaires and a series of short tasks in a remote, proctored online session. This study will take approximately 2-2.5 hours and you will receive $15/hour for your participation. Eligibility: comfortable speaking and reading in both English and French; normal or corrected vision, no reading impairments; between 18 and 35; identify as a man.

The Music Perception and Cognition Lab is recruiting participants for an eye tracking and tapping experiment

You must have normal hearing and cannot be on any medication that affects wakefulness. If you wear glasses, you will not be able to wear them during the experiment (contacts are fine). The experiment takes approximately 30 minutes. Participants who complete the experiment receive $10. There are no risks associated with this research, which has been certified by the review ethics board and is supervised by Prof. McAdams at 91ɬÂþ. Seeking professional musicians

The Penhune Lab from Concordia University is recruiting professionally trained musicians aged 18 to 35 for a study investigating the effects of the age at the start of training on auditory-motor synchronization. Musicians must currently be practicing their instrument or voice, have at least 3 years of formal training, and at least 10 years of overall experience. Testing takes place at the Montreal Neurological Institute over 2 sessions, and you will be paid $150 for your participation. Participants needed - video games and cognitive functions

You are interested in the impact of a 30-minute video game session on your rhythmic skills and cognitive functions?

We are currently seeking healthy adult participants for a study requiring coming once to BRAMS Laboratory for ~2.5 hours. Participants will receive $20 to compensate for their time and commute.

Call for Participants – Effects of Music and Mindfulness on Heart Rate and Blood PressureÌý

We areÌýrecruitingÌýhealthy adults between the ages of 18 and 75 with normal blood pressure for a study examining how listening to music and practicing guided mindfulness affect blood pressure and heart rate. The study takes place at the Institute of Community & Family Psychiatry and involves a single visit of approximately 3 hours. Speakers who learned both English and French at home

The Neurolinguistics Lab of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders is looking for speakers who grew up in a home where BOTH English AND French were spoken for different electroencephalography (EEG) studies.
Main selection criteria for the studies include:
— Having been exposed to BOTH French AND English at home during childhood (even if you are not fluent in both);
— Aged between 18 and 40;
— Being right-handed;
— Not being able to have a conversation in a third language;
— No diagnosis of language or learning disability, and no neuropsychological disorders;
— Normal hearing.
