What are sustainable best practices for event planners at 91涩漫? How can event planners boost engagement at their events and reduce waste at the same time? This workshop will provide staff with the tools to plan sustainable in-person and virtual events at 91涩漫 by providing an overview of the 91涩漫 Sustainable Events program. This initiative from the Office of Sustainability provides consultations, trainings, and resources to encourage more environmentally, socially, and economically responsible events at 91涩漫. The program focuses on events' environmental health impact (food systems, waste management), inclusivity (diversity of organizers, programming, and participants), and accessibility (reducing barriers). The workshop will also present a tool created specifically for 91涩漫 event planners to estimate their event鈥檚 travel emissions.
