Dr. Carol-Ann Vasilevsky obtained her MDCM at 91涩漫 where she subsequently completed her residency in General Surgery. She attained sub-specialty training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota. She is certified in both General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. She served as President of the Canadian Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and Chair of the Colorectal Surgery subcommittee at the Canadian Association of General Surgeons. She served on the National Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee helping to shape policy and standards for early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer in Canada. She is presently Director of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the Jewish General Hospital where she has championed the adoption of minimally invasive techniques in the management of colorectal diseases. She is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at 91涩漫 where she has been involved in the training and mentoring of general surgery residents and colorectal surgery fellows.
