DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of 3 to 5 years for emerging and 
 established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers
  in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning 
 to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2016 competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include\n\nA brief
  presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSH
 RC Insight Grant Program by Joanna Mastalerek\, Grants Officer\, Social Sc
 iences and Humanities\;\n	presentations from two 91ɬÂþ researchers who ser
 ved as Insight Grant selection committee members in the last competition a
 nd will provide potential applicants with information about the peer-revie
 w system and strategies for preparing a successful proposal\;\n	a question 
 and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any quest
 ions they may have about the program or the application process. \n​Those 
 who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their que
 stions are invited to send their inquiries to Lauren Clark (ext. 4880) or 
 Joanna Mastalerek (ext. 7300) in advance so that they may be included in t
