This session would also benefit faculty members as these program s can lead to new connections with Canadian companies\, increased funding and unique training opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral f ellows through applied\, industrial research projects. Mitacs also support s 2-way mobility of students between Canada and the international communit y\n91ɬÂţ will host Rebecca Reich\, Mitacs Director of Business Developmen t\, who will present various programs and provide helpful tips on how to m ix and match these programs. She will also provide details on projects tha t have successfully used these programs to the advantage of graduate stude nts\, postdoctoral fellows and researchers.\nDiscussion will center on the following programs:\nMitacs Accelerate and Elevate  \nThrough the Mitacs- Accelerate and Mitacs-Elevate programs\, graduate students and postdoctora l fellows apply their specialized expertise to business-related research c hallenges. Interns (graduate students or postdoctoral fellows) bring new p erspectives to the problems faced by the industry partners by spending app roximately half of their time on-site with industry and the remainder at t he university advancing their research under the guidance of a faculty sup ervisor. This program is open to all disciplines and all industrial sector s\, and projects can span a wide range of areas\, including manufacturing\ , technical innovation\, business processes\, IT\, social sciences\, desig n\, and more. These programs are offered jointly by Mitacs and the FRQNT. \nMitacs Globalink\nThrough the Mitacs-Globalink program\, senior undergra duate and Masters students are provided funding to facilitate two-way mobi lity to partner countries to do research with a host university.
