17 Rooms-X 91涩漫 | 91涩漫 Office of Sustainability
February 2, 2024 | An initiative led by MPP alumnus Julian Lam,聽17 Rooms-X 91涩漫 is a unique event that will bring together faculty, staff, students, and practitioners who are working to advance progress on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).聽聽This process will feed into 91涩漫鈥檚 next climate and sustainability strategy (2025-2030) and will provide broader insight into challenges and opportunities for advancing progress on the SDGs at 91涩漫.
17 Rooms-X 91涩漫 will take place across 8 sessions (or 鈥淩ooms鈥�) between February and March, focusing on 1-3 SDGs per session.聽Each session will last around 1 1/2 hours and will bring together 91涩漫 students, staff, faculty, and practitioners.聽
Each targeted gathering will seek to advance interdisciplinary, intra-university action by unearthing work being done on each of the SDGs at 91涩漫 and identifying what more can be done in our university context. 17 Rooms-X 91涩漫 aims to produce聽research-oriented recommendations, institutional recommendations, and social recommendations to advance progress on the SDGs. These findings will inform 91涩漫鈥檚 Climate and Sustainability Strategy (2025-2030) and will be presented in a dedicated 17 Room-X 91涩漫 report, which will identify existing obstacles to advancing SDG collaboration on campus and propose solutions for addressing them, as brainstormed by the participants.
