Une deuxième vie pour les plumes de poulets

Les fermes du Québec génèrent chaque année 75 millions de tonnes de plumes de poulets! Une partie est réduite en farine et ajoutée à la nourriture animale, mais le reste finit souvent dans les poubelles. Marie-Josée Dumont, professeure au Département de génie des bioressources à l’Université 91ɬ, ne pouvait imaginer laisser une telle ressource gratuite et disponible en aussi grande quantité finir sa vie aux ordures.

Left turn ban from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants (northbound) onto Hwy 20W from 16h-18h effective September 17

The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue City Council has voted in favor of banning left turns on boulevard des Anciens-Combattants northbound at the intersection of the ramp for Highway 20 West between 16h00 and 18h00. The changes will go into effect on September 17, 2018.

Rest assured that officials from Macdonald and John Abbott College did make a representation to the Town about the potential impact of this decision on the campus community prior to the decision being taken.

Closure of Hwy 20 overpass August 9 night

The Hwy 20 overpass/Rue Poultry Cottages will be reduced to one lane traffic during the night of Thursday, Aug 9, from 21:00 to 5:00, for infrastructure inspection.

The southbound lane of the Hwy 20 overpass will be closed, with alternating traffic on the northbound lane.

Plant Science researcher recognized by Canadian Society of Plant Biologists

Québec crée le Pôle d’expertise multidisciplinaire en gestion durable du littoral du lac Saint-Pierre

Le gouvernement du Québec poursuit ses efforts en faveur de la conservation du lac Saint-Pierre et annonce le second volet de son plan qui vise à définir et à promouvoir une agriculture durable compatible avec l’écosystème du lac Saint-Pierre. À cette fin, il accorde à l’Université 91ɬ, à l’Université Laval et à l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) des subventions d’un montant de 4,66 M$ sur quatre ans.
