What did you love most about studying at 91ɬÂþ and/or in the Department of Family Medicine?

I really appreciated being able to study and work in an institution that is prestigious and well-known worldwide, and in a place like Montreal, a city that I have always been curious about.

Please share a particularly proud or challenging moment from your degree?

It makes me proud to publish and present my work – it means that it is being recognized. As for the challenges, I thought of dropping out approximately every winter during my first PhD years – very grateful that I didn’t do it!

Your fave hangout/study spot/eatery/club/activity?

Thomson House for sure!

Shoutout? (prof/mentor/librarian/dep owner/student adviser/friend/coach, etc)

Shoutout to my supervisors, Bertrand Lebouché, who brought me to 91ɬÂþ in the first place, and Kim Engler, for teaching and guiding me so much during the past years.

Top tip for incoming students in your program?

Be proactive; if you enter the project with a project already in mind, that’s great; expect your project to change directions several times; and most importantly, don’t drop out when you are feeling miserable and in a bad mood!

What's next for you?

I am currently looking for a postdoc in the same area of research I worked in thus far (sexual health, men who have sex with men). Also more freelance writing and training in psychotherapy.
