Renewal of Marc McKee as Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Biomineralization

The Government of Canada announced on May 13 the results of new and renewed Canada Research Chairs. 91ɬÂþ was awarded $18.1 million in federal funding to support six new and 10 renewed Canada Research Chairs, including the renewal of Professor Marc McKee's Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Biomineralization.Ìý

Prof. McKee's research primarily focuses on mineralization of extracellular matrices in bones and teeth, in mineralization pathologies, and in other biomineralizing systems such as inner-ear otoconia and eggshells. His studies on pathologic mineralization include work on rare bone diseases where defective skeletal and dental mineralization leads to soft and deformed teeth.

We offer our congratulations to Marc McKee on his renewal!
