Graduate students in the听Schulich School of Music, Faculties of Arts, Law, or Education听are eligible for up to听$1500听in funding for student led initiatives at 91涩漫 that address one or both of the following:

PhD student in Human Development (Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology), Shubhangi Bhardwaj, was announced as a recent recipient of Dr. Gauri Shankar Guha Award for International Development Education! Bhardwaj was also awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) International Peace Scholarship for Women for the year 2025.

91涩漫, through the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic), has conferred important internal recognition awards to three Faculty of Education professors in celebration of their outstanding scholarship and research excellence.

Canada in general, and Montreal specifically, have been facing a drug toxicity and fatal overdose crisis for nearly a decade. While integrated systems of interventions are necessary to address drug-related harms, the use of naloxone has been a key strategy to reduce the acute effect of opioid-involved deaths. Currently, 91涩漫 does not offer naloxone trainings to the campus community, limiting students鈥� ability to assist in the event of an overdose.

Adam Dub茅, PhD, ECP Associate Professor of Learning Sciences at 91涩漫, participated as a panelist in the "New School? Promises and Risks of AI in the Classroom" webinar hosted by Children and Screens.

The event focused on how children process information from AI-driven tools, the potential of AI to support cognitive development, and the ethical integration of AI into educational systems.
